Chair Massage

A chair massage is performed from a cushioned, ergonomically designed massage chair that is designed to relieve pressure on the spine, hips and shoulders. The chair is adjustable, so people of various height and weight can use it. Chair massage therapy is composed of a number of massage techniques from various approaches, such as Shiatsu, Tui Na and acupressure.

Shorter than a table massage session, chair massages treat principally the upper body, the back, shoulders, arms, neck and head. It is suitable for all and can be carried out in your own home, offices, seminars, exhibitions, fairs, etc.

What to expect in a treatment session:

The person receiving the massage sits, fully clothed on the massage chair while the practitioner performs an upper body massage focusing on key tension areas in the back, neck, shoulders and arms. The massage is done without oils and a session usually last approximately 10-20 minutes.

You should be aware that you need to adopt a forward facing, upright kneeling position during treatment, so chronic conditions such as herniated discs or a history of hypertension are contraindications for a chair massage.
